Pretend you want to fit a perfectly shaped circular rug into your perfectly square room. All you know right now is that the radius of the rug is "r" feet long. 1) Find the area of the rug, 2) the area of the room and then 3) the area of the room that won't be covered by the rug. (hint -draw a picture!)
1) area of the rug= 3.14r squared
2) area of room= 4r squared
3) area of room without rug= 4r squared - 3.14r squared

♥gas price post♥
Using the new gas price, 2.2o, it would cost around 55 dollars to fill up my tank. I would pay 14.75 less than I would one month ago. The lowest local gas price that I found in Lake County is 1.69 at a Marathon in Mentor, Ohio.
One thing I learned from this article is that one of the reasons for the dropping of gas prices is because we are going to go into a recession. I also learned that the declining oil prices might be the only thing giving/saving people money. Another thing I learned is that every time the price of oil drops $1, U.S. consumers save around $1 billion dollars. I think that it is really interesting that the last time oil prices collapsed like this and stayed down was in the early 1980's. It seemed very unlikely for this to happen at this time. I have learned many things from this article.

polynomial post
I learned many things from visiting these websites. One thing I learned is that when multiplying monomials, the base stays the same and you just add the exponents. From reading the article, this is much more clear to me. I also learned that monomials will never have a + or a - sign in them, they are just one term. Another thing I learned is that a polynomial is the sum of two monomials. One last thing I learned is that is that when adding polynomials, you just remove any parenthesis and combine like terms. A lot of things are more clear to me now after reading these articles.
